Miranda gives birth to Brady Hobbes (an homage to their respective surnames), and the two try to raise him together as platonic partners, with difficulty. She initially decides to have an abortion without planning to inform Steve of her pregnancy. Miranda had crushed Skipper’s heart into a million pieces by that point (recall the time he broke up with a woman mid-coitus just because Miranda called), but this was still unusual because he’d been introduced as a friend of Carrie’s and not a love interest.Īfter Steve loses one of his testicles to cancer, Miranda sleeps with him to convince him that having one ball will not prevent women from having sex with him. “He was a really nice counterpoint to Miranda’s no-nonsense behavior, him being so romantic and such a cuddly, teddy-bear kind of guy. Is this just another case of Carrie being The Worst? “I thought Skipper was adorable,” says Susan Seidelman, who directed the show’s pilot and two other season-one episodes. Played by Ben Weber, Skipper was a 27-year-old “website creator” who debuted in the pilot and appeared throughout season one, then vanished without explanation after popping up in one last episode in late season two. We learn that she is still employing Magda and that Steve’s mother Mary is living in a nursing home, as she now suffers from advancing Alzheimer’s.Īll of these were definitively resolved, save for one – Miranda’s love affair with Skipper Johnston.

Our daughter will be turning two this summer, and let me tell you, she is the epitome of a FarmHER, not afraid of anything, and thoroughly enjoys working cattle. You’ll likely hear about the other Kings (Bulls) and Queens (Cows) of the herd in my later posts. They say not to name your cattle, but it’s a safe bet that we aren’t going to harvest the Bull therefore, he shall bear a name. The cattle herd is mostly black Angus, but we’ve got some amazing Herefords dropping this season, thanks to our newest prize-winning bull, Harry. We have rotating crops of Alfalfa, Triticale, and Cow Peas. Our farm and ranch operation is always keeping us on our toes, primarily farming Hard Red Winter Wheat, for harvest and hay. We are truly blessed to have a growing operation at such a young age, hoping to continue the dream of farming to feed the world long into our 80’s.
